When the SKYFALL trailer was released in May James Bond fans around went wild and that enthusiasm for their hero hasn't seemed to dwindle.

It's four years since the last film, Quantum of Solace, which disappointed fans who were expecting something more, closer to the commercial and critical success of Casino Royale. It wasn't to be and while a new Bond film was originally planned for a 2011 release, MGM's financial woes meant that the film was put on the shelf for a year while they went into bankruptcy and sale.

Sam Mendes is directing this time round and has brought on board a whole load of acting talent. The Bond films have never been known for having all big name actors though, so it remains to be seen whether it pays off. All the actors say they were attracted to Skyfall because of a strong script though, so perhaps we're in for a treat.

The film has finished principal photography now and will be in cinemas at the end of October. If you can't weait until then you can keep up to date with what's going on here.
